Paris, France: Indian para-judo player Kapil Parmar has etched his name in history by securing India's first-ever Paralympics medal in the sport.
Competing in the Men's J1 - 60 KG category at the ongoing Paris Paralympics, Kapil reached the semifinals but ultimately lost to his opponent. However, he bounced back to clinch a bronze medal by defeating Brazil's Elielton de Oliveira.
In an interview with ANI, Kapil revealed that his success was a result of years of hard work and dedication. He praised his coach for guiding him through his journey and helping him develop sound techniques.
The only setback during the semifinals was the loud crowd, which made it difficult for Kapil to hear his coach's instructions. Despite this, he managed to secure a well-deserved bronze medal for India.
