Guwahati to Host 3rd Edition of India-Japan Education Conclave

Guwahati is set to host the third edition of the India-Japan Education Conclave on September 28, 2024. This event, which will take place at Cotton University, marks a significant milestone in the growing relationship between India and Japan, particularly in the field of education.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has extended an invitation to educators, researchers, students, and stakeholders to participate in the conclave. The announcement follows a recent meeting between Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and a delegation from various Japanese universities, where they discussed enhancing educational exchanges and collaborations.

The conclave aims to strengthen ties between Assam and Japan, building on the existing projects and partnerships in the region. These include the Guwahati Water Supply Project, the Guwahati Sewage Project, and the construction of a vocational training centre for women in Kamrup, among others.

This event is expected to further boost educational and research collaborations, highlighting the strategic importance of the Northeast in Indo-Japan relations.

Stay tuned for more updates as the event approaches.
