Assam Aims for 80% Success in Investment Proposals: CM Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed optimism about converting 80% of investment proposals made at the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit into reality. The summit, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top industrialists like Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, witnessed investment commitments worth ₹4.91 lakh crore. Notable companies like Reliance, Adani Group, and Tata Power pledged massive investments in sectors like power, hydrocarbons, and infrastructure.
The central government also assured significant support, with ₹55,000 crore allocated for road projects and ₹4,800 crore for shipping and ports. Sarma highlighted Assam’s transformation into a stable and investment-friendly state, envisioning it as a future hub for semiconductor chips, hydrocarbons, and green energy.
